Astrology as well as astronomy are two very different universities and have different types of research work accompanying them. Astronomy focuses on the scientific study of physical objects that lie out of our planet’s environment. Not surprisingly, those students who study astronomers are under intense pressure from an academic perspective.
Astronomy refers to the examination of objects as well as phenomena that lie outside the atmosphere of our planet. It is an established field of science and is recognized as a separate discipline in most major universities in the world. Astrology, on the other hand relies on the relative positions taken by celestial objects as being the foundation for psychology and also the prediction of the future along with esoteric know-how. Astrology is closer to divination than it is to science and few regard it as having anything to do with science.
Term paper as well as research paper, dissertation and thesis are scientific literature and both Astronomy and Astrology have been subjects for writing upon. For instance sociologists and others in the humanities may want to look back at the development of astrology in ancient societies while astronomers may wish to write at any of the different celestial objects that lie beyond our planet and are important for some reason.
Over the course of history, there has been a clear lack of demarcation separating these two fields. For instance, in Babylonia (now Iraq), the astrologer and the astronomer were considered one and the same thing and both had responsibilities of each other thereby merging the two concepts. |
